Terms and Conditions

Eligibility

Individuals participate in the Career Planning Challenge by participating in the quizzes found on the Career Planning Challenge Page (https://www.jacampus.org/career-planning-challenge/). To be eligible for the challenge and giveaway, participants must:

  • Be a legal Canadian resident
  • Be between the ages of 14-24 at the time of the challenge completion
    • Note: Individuals who have not reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence may participate only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.These individuals must include a parent/guardian contact name and email in the giveaway entry survey. The parent/legal guardian will be contacted to consent to their participation, confirm eligibility (including the skill-testing question) and accept the prize on their behalf should they be selected.
  • Have fully completed the Career Planning Challenge (jacampus.org/career-planning-challenge) and completed the giveaway entry survey in full.

Potential winners will be required to correctly answer a time-limited skill-testing question upon notification in order to be declared a winner.

How to Enter

Complete all required details in the survey to confirm your participation. JA Canada will confirm eligibility of all entries. There is a limit of one (1) entry per person. Attempts to submit more than one (1) entry or to use multiple names, identities, or email addresses will result in disqualification. The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who is found to be tampering with the entry process, violating these Terms and Conditions, or acting in a disruptive or fraudulent manner.

Giveaway Period

Entries for the giveaway contest open on April 1, 2026 at 10am ET and will close on June 20, 2026 at 11:59pm ET.

Prize Conditions and Details

No purchase necessary.

Limit of one (1) prize per participant.

There are four (4) cash prizes to be awarded to four (4) different individuals.

Approximate value of each cash prize: $250 CAD.

Winners are responsible for any taxes or reporting requirements associated with the receipt of the cash prize.

Cash Prize:

  • Must be accepted as awarded
  • The prize is non-transferable
  • No substitutions will be made except at the Organizer’s discretion

Winner Selection

Winners will be selected by a random draw from all eligible entries received during the contest period. Each entrant shall be eligible to win only one (1) prize. The odds of being selected (winning) are dependent on the number of eligible entries received for the contest. The Giveaway is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws of Canada.

Draw Date and Skill-Testing Question

A random draw will be conducted to select winners on or about June 22, 2026.

In addition to meeting the eligibility criteria, upon notification, any potential winners must correctly answer, unassisted, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question which must be completed within 48 hours of the email notification. If the selected entrant provides an incorrect answer, they will no longer be eligible for the prize, and another entrant will be randomly selected by draw until all prizes are awarded.

Winner Notification

Selected entrants will be contacted via email within 14 days of the draw and must respond within 48 hours. If a selected entrant cannot be contacted, fails to respond within 48 hours or is deemed ineligible, a new draw will occur until all prizes are awarded.

Delivery of Prize

Once the selected entrant has been successfully contacted, confirmed eligible, and correctly answered the skill-testing question, the cash prize will be delivered via an online payment platform using the contact information provided at the time of entry. If the winner is a minor, the parent or legal guardian must accept the prize on their behalf. 

The Organizer is not responsible for any issues arising from incorrect or incomplete payment information provided by the entrant. The Organizer is not responsible for delays or issues caused by third-party payment platforms.

Privacy

The Organizer will not publish or otherwise publicly disclose the names of winners. Personal information will only be used to administer the Giveaway in accordance with the Organizer’s privacy policy, or as required by applicable law. Limitation of Liability

JA Canada is not responsible for technical errors, late or incomplete submissions, or any issues that prevent a participant from completing the submission survey. The Organizer is not responsible for email notifications that are lost, delayed, misdirected, or filtered as spam.

By participating, individuals release JA Canada from any claims arising from the Giveaway or the cash prizes to the extent permitted by law.

General Conditions

This Giveaway is administered by JA Canada (“the Organizer”).

JA Canada may modify, suspend or terminate the Giveaway if circumstances arise that prevent its proper administration, subject to applicable laws.

This Giveaway shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein.

All decisions of the Organizer regarding any aspect of this Giveaway are final and binding.

Residents of Quebec: Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of this Giveaway may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the court having jurisdiction.
